Special Edition 2013 - C. P. Cavafy
As last year, celebrating the end of one more creative year in pipe making, I made a Special Edition smoking pipe entitled "C. P. Cavafy". 2013 is dedicated to Constantine Cavafy, so I found it a good idea for my special edition pipe.
This year, I made it only in one copy (last year was in three copies). So, the Special Edition pipe for 2013, is a Liverpool. I choose that shape because I believe that this classic shape fits perfectly with the Cavafy's great work. Also, Liverpool in UK, is the city that Cavafy lived for a period of his life!
On the pipe, someone can read one of the most known Cavafy's poems, Ithaca (in Greek)! The first lines of the poem, are engraved around the pipe. On the tamper, someone can read the end of the poem!

7 Deadly Sins
This is my first seven day set, the Seven Deadly Sins...
It was almost 2 years ago, when this crazy, maybe even provocative idea, came to my mind. As time went by, I was considering which way these seven deadly sins could be better imprinted on my pipes. Well, it wasn't easy. Took me a lot of mature thinking until starting materializing the initial idea.
In the process, Ι came across a lot of difficulties, but also discovered something quite interesting: in a way, pipe smoking, could include all sins! Or at least, one of these. This particularity, charmed me even more...

The Mosquito
I was sitting in my workshop... summer night! Suddenly I feel something to bite my arm! It was a mosquito! I start to stare it and somehow I saw it like a pipe... and then I started to make that pipe! Is that normal?
The Medwakh
This is an order for a friend from Jordan. It called Medwakh and it is an arabian pipe. It was really inderesting and a good chalenge for me to do a project like that! My idea was to remind an eagle's finger (I hope to reminds it). I used briar plataux and palm wood. The filter at the end is disposable.
0113 Tulip
The first pipe for 2013 is a tulip. A beautiful pipe for a beautiful new year (I hope so).
This pipe is numbered K.A. 0113, is made of Greek briar and ebonite.

Basketball pipe + Tamber
I made this pipe for a basketball coach. His idea, was a challenge for me that finally turned well. The second part of that challenge, was the tamber. I had to design something muching with the ball.
Emmental Rhodesian
This pipe was made by accident! I was planning to make a classic rhodesian shape but when I was on sander I saw a big flow on the wood. I was very disappointed! I put the pipe aside at least for one month. One day I desided to see how dip is the flow and I saw that was side to side. Then I had the enlightment! I took a drill and I made side to side drilling all around the pipe! I was excited with the result!
